Answers to Osteoporosis question
I've been diagnosed with osteoporosis. I'm afraid to take drugs. Can lifestyle medicine really help me?

Hello JosieDavison,
There is no doubt that lifestyle changes can handle your osteoporosis.
The tips above are great and I would like to add specifically that calcium may be necessary but this is only one small piece to this puzzle. With no other information to go on a complete bone matrix is a must and I prefer using a combination with Ipriflavone, such as Cal Apatite Plus which has shown tremendous results in bone density studies and in my own practice.
Keep in mind that Dexa studies are not a stand alone test. This gives us a snap shot of the density just as you could get a feel for some aspects of a river by taking a picture or sample. However, it tells you nothing of the dynamics of the river. As well the Dexa or similar imaging tells nothing of the metabolism of bone. This is done through a urine test and gives us the rate of turnover which means the rate at which bone is broken down and replaced. If this test is normal then the above recommendations usually handle it fairly rapidly. If the test is positive then it indicates a more complex situation. Both of which we have handled without the use of medication.
